Located just east of the City of Akron, Portage County is a historical hotspot for Northeast Ohio. Its largest town is Kent, which is home to Kent State University, and is a fun college town with great restaurants and nightlife, theatres, shops, and much else to do. Just outside of Kent is Ravenna, a historical town with great architecture and strong heritage. Portage County is also home to Hiram College, a private liberal arts college in the northeastern corner of the county. The county is largely rural and is a very enjoyable place to both visit and live!
