Located halfway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh, Mahoning County has a little something for everyone. The county seat and largest city is Youngstown, which is home to Youngstown State University, the Youngstown Community Amphitheater, event and performing arts centers (such as Deyor, a former Warner Brothers theatre!), bars, restaurants, the downtown DoubleTree hotel, and much more. Close to Youngstown are Lake Milton and Berlin Lake, an exciting duo of lakes with boating, cabins, camping, and all sorts of outdoors fun. Mahoning County has a variety of suburban and rural areas as well, with plenty of enjoyable and affordable areas to live, work, and play.
